Royal Caribbean's Sovereign of the Seas

The best holiday I have ever been taken on Royal Caribbean's Sovereign of the Seas. I went with my two best friends. We chose the 4 day cruise that morning went from Monday to Friday. I admit I was intimidated a little, I began reading and viewing of images as the cruise ship.

I have just finished my first cruise before Christmas 2007. I went with very little expectations and have to say, Wow, and I am definitely very soon! Honestly, I felthow could I be lost on a big ship.

Granted, I had figured cruises were mainly the fru, fru's and put ups. I was completely wrong. Together with me, was my best friend and his wife with me and we were all first time cruisers. We drove 10 hours to get to Port Canaveral.

First of all, if we to Port Canaveral (Orlando) Florida arrived to board the ship, we thought for sure we would have to wait too long to our luggage, park, unload go through security and checking tasksin.

Wrong!

From the time that we at the terminal, by the time we boarded the ship arrived, was little more than 45 minutes. The lines looked long, but they moved quickly and efficiently. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. We had signed our passports and our Set Sail boarding pass information and health declaration (while in line).

Until we were on the ship and on the deck where our cabin is located outside cabin (Deck 8) was sat waiting for our luggageus.

Yes, the room was small. It was very clean but. Our cabin attendant took not long to show, and imagine.

Shortly before we left the harbor we had to drill to a safety problem. Of course I knew that more than 2,000 + guests were on board, and I'm afraid of this part, because not every typically together and I thought this would be to delay our departure.

I was so wrong. It was done and over with in about 30 minutes. We left port on time (5pm).

I came toThis website watch before reading and yes to the second day was the musty smell of wet carpet. It did not last long if it is to abate. And I saw daily room cleaning and vacuuming with a carpet cleaner.

Every day we have that the make up room card (in our door on the left), our beds were made and vacuumed the carpet. And yes, we got an animal shaped towels on the beds every night.

Yes, the bathroom is also small, but it was always cleanas well.

Let me say a lot about the room and bathroom: It may be small, but they made it as comfortable as they can. There are also many things to do on the ship so a majority of the time you not in the room anyway!

Eating is no problem. We ate in the Windjammer for lunch when we got to the food was great and the attached service was fantastic. I have Chinese food with a few sticks. It did not take long to come to one of Asian waiterpatiently work with me, teach me how to use the chopsticks!

Our dining room was assigned to the Mirage, late seating (8:30). During this time seems late it really was not. In fact, it was perfect timing. They do not go hungry on the ship. The food was great every night.

And if for any reason you are not satisfied, they will soon have something for you (I never asked for anything else).

Our waiter and his assistant were incredible. She remembered our names quickly. There were six of us at one table. Our glasses were often refilled, our food came quickly to us and rolls served during the waiting period.

The breakfast was fantastic. The buffet offers something for just about everyone. Biscuits, Gravy, sausage, bacon, eggs, Hashbrowns, French Toast, waffles, pancakes, cereal, you name it they have it. My best friend mentioned the last day of the cruise, he does not care for potatoes, but he absolutely loved the ship to!
The tables areSeating is cleaned as soon as a rule immediately.

I had the opportunity to show, to great welcome on board a show that included the Royal Caribbean Singers & Dancers, it was. I also attended a show at the Follies Theater, with comedian Steve Smith as the headliner. He was hilarious. I also went to his late night show for adults as well as the first one was. I attended the Captain's Welcome Aboard party where free drinks (alcoholic and non alcoholic) wereare offered.

We spent some time in Casino Royale. It took a little time for us to understand how the machines work than 0.25 slots not only took cash in coins. If you win, any amount you redeem the choice of continuing with a credit card or print out a voucher.

The second day on board we were CocoCay. The weather was sunny, cool and very windy. By late afternoon they had the times for the invitation to travel back and forth from the ship to the island and to limit reverseversa, because the water was always extremely choppy. We had to wait quite a while to board the ship because the band kept getting pushed plank stand. Two of the crew members were making very patient and helpful that everyone is safe again to the Sovereign.

Check-in and goes out (from CocoCay and back) was quick and painless. All crew members were organized, friendly and helpful. It was crowded but it was moving at a reasonable pace. They were not in one place for verylong.

In the course of the day we were informed of Casey over the intercom (in most cases, our Cruise Director) of the activities. Our cabin attendant also left us a cruise compass day. We have also seen Channel 27, which I highly recommend doing.

All day we were often greeted staff of Royal Caribbean. Anytime we found the staff were always smiling. It was good to be recognized.

I had some complications with the Internet isquite expensive at 0.50 per minute. She offered a few packages where I had the $ 25 An bought 60 minutes worth of access. up, however, is access to the desktop on Deck 4 was very, very slowly and the protocols were used to quickly due to problems with my application I have received a credit. I went to the Guest Relations Desk and was quickly taken care provided no questions.

Although I was told no access to the Internet with my laptop in my cabin, my best friendand I tried it anyway because our room was so close to the voltage that is a night club hot spot for Wi-Fi. It worked so much better!

The music was so much better than I expected. Modern music, classical, Latin music were played in different ways. You can expect to hear during the day music on the cruise ship or on the island.

I did a little shopping on board and the shops are okay. I wish they offered more T-shirts for the younger children. It was disappointingwithout leaving T-shirts for my three children. They are expensive but available for the T-shirts, although I have two for $ 30 (for sale). Although the place was full, I have to wait long to checkout.

I did not want on my onboard credit check so I went to Guest Relations and a long time coming. The attendant was very friendly, smiling and helpful. Anytime I had any concerns or questions you were very polite and eager to answer them.

From the first day I had made up my mind, I am madeCruise very soon. I loved the atmosphere of the sovereign. The next time I want to take my family as well.

The last day I was indeed sad to know that the sovereign will only by the end of October 2008, cruises and then they head to Europe. Monarch of the Seas will take their place when it leaves Los Angeles on a 16-night Panama Canal cruise to Miami. The ship will then undergo a scheduled, weeklong dry-dock, before it takes the first Port CanaveralGuests for three and four nights Bahamas sailing after the first week of November 2008.

I want them to others in preparing or considering a cruise with Royal Caribbean pulls like to read what I have done. It was truly the vacation of your life. It was the best ever for me and the service was fantastic.

Here are some advice and tips:

Parking for the 4 night cruise cost us $ 48 (2007)

-Have all your documents ready before you step inLine in the terminal

-Take an extra change of clothes in a carry-on bag when boarding

-Be ready for security as your carry on items going through the X-ray machine

-You will do much walking, rolling stairs, stand in line, but it does not take too long.

Lunch is offered on board the ship the day of arrival!

to-The rooms are small but luggage can be stored under the beds and storage space has shelves, desk has a few drawers

-There is a valve through theDesk and in the bathroom

-If you are offered other than drinking the beverage package, prepared for the payment of compensation to the price of the drink, if you get it at the pool bar, dining room or in the lounges! Tip was 15% for each drink, we walk from one of the guys bought CocoCay on or around the pool / Windjammer Cafe.

Sovereign of the Seas, the package offers tip, finally is $ 39 per person in our cabin. Tipping is customary, ifon the ship, or CocoCay in Nassau. Make sure you save money!

I recommend buying gifts ahead of time, whether for himself or another guest cruise with you or just as a gift for someone. You can use them for on-board credits to redeem your SeaPass. (The three of us spent about $ 515 held in four days on souvenirs, gratuities Package ($ 120), Internet, and we drink with CUPS.

-Be prepared to use the stairs a lot of time. The elevators can beslow and sometimes crowded! Majority of the time people on the lifts are generous to make the place.

Remember to keep it, a change of clothes the night before disembarkation! They will tell you and your luggage is in the hall have midnight. We had breakfast and then get ready too early. The line was long, but it happened very quickly. Everyone had different color coded baggage tag (red, brown, blue, etc).

Another suggestion is to somehow make your luggage unique in someFashion. We borrowed my parents luggage that was solid black. We had to go through a similar way and wait for 10 minutes for all of our baggage.

off from the time we got in line until we load our vehicle, we are able again about 45 minutes.

If you see children in a cruise, this is the best. I'd take the opportunity to meet other parents and children. You have to do a lot of activities for the children while the adults to getsome fun time. The people who take care of the children are highly qualified. As a mother of three children, I am definitely looking to order under me on a cruise in the near future.

Royal Caribbean has excellent service, business makes you feel welcome and for your. You will definitely feel like a king on board.
